A whole-person approach
Some seasons bring energy and curiosity. Others are about recovering, finding your feet or simply getting through. Momentum brings intention and reflection together for the life you’re actually living.
Your body, mind, emotions and spirit belong to the same life. You choose what deserves room. You don’t need to work on everything at once.
How it begins
Choose what feels useful now. There’s room to change or add more later.

Make room
A good life has more than one ingredient. Movement, rest, relationships, enjoyment, learning, reflection, contribution, meaning and care for your surroundings can all have a part to play—and each can shape the others.
Start with what matters now. There’s no expectation to do it all. Momentum gives you room to bring in more when the time is right.
Life changes
Choose a plan for this season, with room to stretch or keep things small. Check in with how much you have available today and notice what’s shaping it.
Make an activity gentler, move it, pause it or choose rest. When life changes, your plan can change with it.

A missed day creates no debt. Return when it fits, without making up for time away.
Try something new, go deeper or maintain what helps. Doing more isn’t the only way forward.
Over time
A book you read. A conversation that mattered. A note about what you need. Journal brings everyday experiences and your writing together, whether or not you’ve completed a practice.
When something suggests a next step, you can add an Action yourself, then mark it done, carry it forward or let it go. Monthly reflection gives you space to look back and choose an intention for the month ahead.
Some moments support more than one practice: a hike can be movement and enjoyment, or gardening can be care and pleasure. An optional practice menu lets you record another practice in your Plan for the same day. Each keeps its own choices and writing; logging just one stays simple.
Journal photos are being prepared for an upcoming beta: up to six photos per entry, a simple swipe gallery, adjustable previews and a filter for entries with photos. In photo-enabled builds, Copy day and Journal exports can take the photos with your writing; receiving apps control what they can display. They are not available in every current build.
Clearer charts are being prepared for an upcoming beta: choose a weight range, tap a point to inspect its readings, and browse earlier weeks of practice history. Longer weight ranges use labelled averages, with the original readings still available. These chart updates are not available in every current build.
Your writing belongs to you. Take your Journal into Apple Notes or another app whenever you like.
“That walk with a friend helped me slow down. I’d like to make room for that again.”
Arrange another walk together

Find your way in
You don’t need a plan for every part of life. Maybe there’s one thing you’d like to make more room for — reading, moving, creating, connecting, reflecting, or something else entirely. Start there. Give it a place in your week and notice what helps. One practice is a worthwhile place to begin, with no obligation to add another.
Work is getting plenty of attention; other parts of life keep slipping to the edges. Start with a book or a walk. Over time, you might notice how a walk with a friend brings movement, connection and enjoyment together—or how rest makes room for them. Let your plan broaden around what helps, rather than designing an ideal life on day one.
Caring responsibilities, disrupted sleep or a difficult stretch have changed what you can manage. Rest, connection and perhaps one grounding practice may be enough for now. Adjust or pause as circumstances change, with room to return when it fits. A plan that sees the whole person can be deliberately small.
You want room for different parts of life in one flexible plan: movement and rest, books and learning, people and enjoyment, reflection and something that matters beyond yourself. Notice how these support one another, and choose what needs attention in this season. Some parts may need more room; others can simply be. The plan can grow or become gentler with you.
Good to know
Yes. Export your Journal as Rich Text or Markdown, with one dated file per day. Exports include your current writing and saved drafts, and leave your Journal in Momentum unchanged. To import into Apple Notes on Mac, unzip the export, then choose File → Import to Notes and select the extracted folder.
Your Journal saves on your iPhone and can sync through your private iCloud account. There’s no separate Momentum account or Momentum-operated server holding your library. Exported files aren’t encrypted by Momentum, so choose carefully where you save or share them. Read the iPhone privacy notice for more about optional services and preserved history.
